Free user interface mod

Valdacils Item Sorting is a free user interface mod for Fallout 4 that lets you add prefix tags to items so that you can sort them together. For instance, you can place CHEM behind all the chemicals and buffs to group them in your inventory. Other mods you might enjoy for FO4 are Weaponsmith Extended and We Are The Minutemen.

There are different classes and sub-classes you can place tags for, depending on how many levels you want to drill down. Even when you upgrade weapons and armor, the tags remain and you won’t need to redo them. However, it will conflict with similar modifications that deal with item name editing.

Add tags to names

If you’re played Fallout 4 for an incredibly long time, you know how frustrating it can be looking for items in your inventory when you’ve accumulated so many objects. Even when you sort it alphabetically, the categories are often mixed up. Valdacils Item Sorting helps you place several groups together so you can look through your own classes.

As long as you place the same tags with similar items, you’ll see them appear together in your inventory. Valdacils Item Sorting assembles them together under specific strings to save you the trouble if you want it to auto-sort it.

Classes and sub-classes

In essence, Valdacils Item Sorting starts with specific classes before breaking them up further. For example, the AID tag groups all objects that provide support, while the AMMO tag has all your ammunition. AID contains some sub-classes like Device, Drink, and Chem, while AMMO has Ammo and Fuel.

Choosing modules

When you open Valdacils Item Sorting, you’ll notice that you can choose specific modules for various situations. Some of these include DLCVersion, NoDLCVersion, VanillaWeight, and so on. You’ll need to check what each one includes if you want to ensure that you use the correct one for your version of Fallout 4.

Sort your inventory efficiently

Valdacils Item Sorting is excellent for Fallout 4 gamers who are tired of browsing through a lengthy inventory trying to find weapons, chems, and armor. It’s especially the case when you’re loading other mods that give you infinite carry weight or add unique items.

You can use the tags provided by the mod to group items together, but you’ll need to ensure you aren’t using another add-on that alters item names.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
